Robert D. Salyerds

Robert D. Salyerds, RHS Assistant Choir Director, is in his 15th-year on Roxbury’s choral staff. He is a graduate of William Paterson University where he studied Music Educations with a focus on voice and piano. He has been performing both since under age ten and is also proficient on the guitar.

Before joining our choral team, Mr. Salyerds worked in Westfield, NJ, where he was in charge of the 7th and 8th-grade choirs.  He currently teaches the Broadway/Theatre class and conducts the Women’s Ensemble, the Men’s Choir and the Madrigals here at RHS, as well as the 8th Grade Chorus at EMS.  From 2010-2012, as Men’s Choir Chair on the Executive Board of NJ ACDA< Mr. Salyerds hosted the NJACDA men’s choir festival, featuring more than 350 participants.
