Rules and Regulations: Select Groups

  1. Members of select groups are expected to be present at all the rehearsals for their respective groups, all of which are listed on this site.  A student can miss a rehearsal only because of illness (absence from school), a family death or emergency, a religious holiday, or, in some cases, a school sporting event.  If a student misses rehearsal for any other reason, he or she will be dropped from that select group.
  2. Students in the select groups are expected to show respect for each other and their instructors and a positive attitude by being on time, working hard, and putting the group’s needs ahead of individual’s.  If at any time a student does not fulfill these expectations, he or she will be dropped from the select group.
  3. Members of select groups must be aware of all extra time responsibilities, including ravel to festivals, extra rehearsals, and fundraising expectations.  Members of select groups have a serious obligation to be at every performance.  Only in extreme emergencies would missing a performance be acceptable.
