Classic Sounds Honors Virtual Choir “Afternoon on a Hill”
Patrick Hachey, Director of Choral Activities and Lead Teacher for the Performing Arts Grades 5 – 12, has taught at Roxbury High School for 17 years. Mr. Hachey holds a Bachelor of Music Education degree and a Master of Music in Vocal Performance degree from Indiana University at Bloomington. while studying at IU, he served two years as the assistant director of the world-renowned Singing Hoosiers and was a founding member of the well-known men’s a cappella group, Straight No Chaser. In 2011, Mr. Hachey was awarded the Singing Hoosiers Alumni Council Distinguished Alumni Award.
Krista Sweer, RHS Associate Choir Director, is in her fourth year of teaching at Roxbury High School. She received her Bachelor’s of Science in Music Education from Messiah College and her Master’s degree in Collaborative Piano from Florida State University. She also studied a the American Institute of Musical Studies in Graz, Austria, where she was awarded the Harold Heiberg Award for Excellence in Collaborative Piano.

Robert D. Salyerds
Robert D. Salyerds, RHS Assistant Choir Director, is in his 15th-year on Roxbury’s choral staff. He is a graduate of William Paterson University where he studied Music Educations with a focus on voice and piano. He has been performing both since under age ten and is also proficient on the guitar.
